ANNOUNCES THE ADDITION OF RUCHIR SEHRA, M.D. TO ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORSBREA, CALIF. – AUGUST 19, 2009 – MTSI, Inc.®, a leading IT and business solutions provider, today announced that Ruchir Sehra has joined its Board of Directors, effective August 7, 2009. Dr. Ruchir Sehra is a board-certified cardiologist with extensive executive experience in early-stage private, mid-stage public, and late-stage acquisition medical device companies specializing in cardiology and the spine. He is currently a member/partner of Monterey Advisors, LLC. Most recently, Dr. Sehra was the Vice President of Clinical Research and Professional Education for Kyphon, Inc., now part of Medtronic, Inc. Kyphon was the largest medical device start-up acquisition ($4.2B), and part of Medtronic’s Spinal and Biologics Business in November, 2007. There, Dr. Sehra was in charge of the spine industry’s broadest clinical portfolio of studies (over 3000 patients) and physician training programs of 3000 doctors annually. “I am extremely pleased to be part of a pioneering and growing company that is changing how business is operated today,” said Dr. Sehra. “I’m proud to become involved with MTSI as a result of its focus on innovation and customer service,” Sehra concluded. Before joining Kyphon, for nearly three years Dr. Sehra served as Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Stereotaxis, Inc., a global provider of advanced remote and robotic cardiac catheterization solutions. For the two years prior, Dr. Sehra was Vice President of Clinical Affairs/Medical Director for CryoCor, Inc., a privately held cardiac medical device manufacturer. He was also associate professor of Pediatrics and Medicine at Loma Linda University from 1999 to 2004, and currently maintains a small electrophysiology practice at the San Diego VA Medical Center. He is currently clinical professor of medicine at the UCSD, San Diego, a member of the American Heart Association, and fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society.
